Breed Description:
Strong, agile, well muscled, alert and full of life. Longer than tall, deep-bodied, have a look of quality and nobility. Fearless, but not hostile, self-confident with a certain aloofness. Males at the shoulder are 24 to 26 inches; and bitches, 22 to 24 inches. The head, including the inner ear and foreface, and the legs and paws are covered with short hair, and the neck with longer and thicker hair. Colors vary and can be all black, white, black/red, black/tan, black/cream, black/silver, etc. with sable variations thereof.

We have on occasion taken a mix if it looks mostly shepherd; we have taken accidental bite cases - we do not take dogs that are aggressive toward people.

DESCRIBE HOUSING USED FOR RESCUES:
Our adoptable dogs are placed in foster homes with families. On occasion, we have used a boarding facility to save a dog's life if it is scheduled to be euthanized and we don't have a foster home open at that time.
